The 3rd Friday of each month, starting around 6:30 the Discover Aviation Flying Club will again host cookouts this summer in the DAC hangar at the Lorain County Airport, off of Russia Rd, All are welcome! Wonderful opportunity to share in the camaraderie of your fellow aviation enthusiasts or just a good excuse to hang out at an airport for a bit!
Note: The October 2017 cookout has been canceled. We will resume cookouts in the Spring of 2018 when warmer weather returns. Thanks to all who participated. It’s always great to see everyone.

EAA Chapter 50 Fall Banquet
Cleveland, OH Veterans Dinner at the International Women’s Air and Space Museum at Burke Lakefront Airport
Join us at 6:30 p.m. as we honor some of our local veterans with a pasta dinner. Get a chance to hear some of their experiences and thank them for their service to our country. Dinner will be followed by a musical performance by vocalist Jill Bezak accompanied by Jeff Faubert. We will also be collecting donations of warm clothing and small items to be used as Christmas gifts phone cards, small alarm clocks, gift cards, etc. to be distributed to veterans in need through the Louis Stokes VA Medical center and the Sandusky VA retirement community. Tickets are $15 and space is limited so please RSVP soon.

Women in Aviation, Cleveland Chapter, MRK Aviation and Discover Aviation Center invite you to attend a Pancake Breakfast Fundraising event and Santa Fly-in at the Lorain County Regional Airport (KLPR) Sunday December 3, 2017 from 9am until Noon. Drive in of fly in, there is no cost to attend this family friendly event, although a $5 donation is suggested to help cover the cost of the food. MRK Aviation will offer a $0.25 fuel discount until noon the day of the event. Santa will make a special appearance and will be taking pictures for a small fee. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Women in Aviation, Cleveland Chapter Scholarship Fund and Discover Aviation Center.
